India cleans environment for Gandhi’s birthday

PRIME Minister of India, Mr. Narender Modi has initiated a campaign tagged ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ (Cleanliness is Service) among the people of India, to create an environment of cleanliness for both celebrating the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi today and keeping the Indian nation clean.
Indian Prime Minister, Mr. Narender Modi and others take part in the cleanliness exercise.
The campaign is a continuation of the cleanliness drive he launched in September 2015 tagged Swachhata Abhiyan
He said that if the people of India create an environment of cleanliness, it would not only impact on a successful birthday anniversary for Ghandi but will also improve on their healthcare system
Mahtm Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 but died January 30, 1948. He was the leader of the Indian independence movement against British rule. Employing non violent civil disobedience, Gandhi led India to independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world
